What would you do if over 100 live lobsters from Maine showed up on your communities door step? Shelly Ealey and the Vinings team in Atlanta, GA figured out the answer to that question by throwing a lobster bake for residents, staff and special guests on Weds, September 3rd. Life Care Funding pulled Vinings’ name from thousands of communities around the United States that had entered the annual Trusted Partner drawing to win an old fashion Maine Lobster Bake. But taking on over 100 lobsters can be quite a hand full, and the Vinings called in reinforcements from sister communities who sent in three additional chefs to prepare this very exciting meal.
The lobsters were shipped in the day before and arrived in the kitchen that afternoon. The kitchen staff went to work cooking and preparing the lobsters to be served both in the traditional Maine way in the shell and also broken up as part of a delectable lobster-Fettuccine Alfredo dish. Live entertainment added to the lively fun with a band rocking classic R&B and soul hits!
Joining in for the festivities was Jim Pusateri, SVP from Brookdale; Steve Martin, Regional VP from Brookdale; Colette Lauria, District Director of Sale from Brookdale; Jaclyn Allmon, VP from the Assisted Living Federation of America (ALFA); Chris Orestis, CEO of Life Care Funding; and Don Poole, CMO of Life Care Funding.
